Playwrights Theatre Centre Dramaturgical Reading Program
The goal of the Playwrights Theatre Centre Dramaturgical Reading Program is to help playwrights fully realize their plays with the insight of a professional dramaturg. Submitting playwrights will receive a Dramaturgical Report, prepared by at PTC dramaturg, consisting of a detailed analysis of their script, constructive criticism, and questions for consideration as they continue to develop their play. The dramaturgical report can be a very useful tool to help playwrights gauge the current condition of their script and determine future directions.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
The PTC Dramaturgical Reading Program is open to submissions from across the country. Submitting playwrights need not be PTC members. The fees are as follows:

• Full Length (60 pages and over) : $50.00 Members / $100.00 Non-Members
• One-Act (59 pages and under) : $35.00 Members / $ 60.00 Non-Members
• Rewrite* (Full Length) : $25.00 Members / $ 50.00 Non-Members
• Rewrite* (One-Act) : $15.00 Members / $ 25.00 Non-Members
*Or previously submitted play.

SUBMISSIONS MUST :
• Be printed in 12-point font on unbound, single-sided, white, letter-size paper
• Include the playwrights name, address, and telephone number
(This information will be used only to correspond with the playwright regarding their submission and to inform them of PTC Events in which they may be interested)
• Include a cheque, money order, or cash for the applicable submission fee
• Be sent via regular post. Submissions sent via e-mail will not be accepted

The report will be forwarded to the playwright within four weeks of receipt of their script at Playwrights Theatre Centre, however, it may, on occasion, take a while longer due to heavy volume.

Playwrights Theatre Centre is not a producing theatre. Our mandate is to develop new Canadian plays. We are a resource for Canadian playwrights and our job is to assist playwrights in the process of writing.
