50 YEARS OF FIRST DRAFTS – Momentum 180 Collective
Every PTC artist has a story of their “first” with the company.
Here’s Momentum 180 Collective’s:
July 22, 2022 – This photo marks the first The Parallel Project workshop held in person at the PTC Office. Together with our dramaturg, Anjela Magpantay, Playwright, Natasha Chew, Actor, Sherine Menes, and Producer, Argel Monte de Ramos, the team worked on Natasha’s first draft of their monologue.
We took this photo as we realized that the team for that day was an All-Filipino/a/x Team, and how it is monumental for it to happen. PTC has been supporting Momentum 180 Collective’s The Parallel Project since November 2020, through our mentor and dramaturg, Davey Calderon. PTC’s unwavering support of The Parallel Project was our pacemaker and continues to be our catalyst, in providing IBPOC writers to write monologues for IBPOC actors. This year we will be having our second youth residency for The Parallel Project with The Cultch, in partnership with the City of Vancouver, and we wouldn’t be here where we’re at without PTC with us.
