Call for Applications Sound Designer, Unscripted
PTC seeks a Sound Designer for a community project in April 2019 called Unscripted.
Unscripted is a research process bringing audiences into direct relationship with the ideas, issues, and politics of playwriting. The project takes place through the month of April 2019 in small group interactions. The team is designing a process to connect with youth under 12 who are part of the transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming communities, and their caretakers. This is the first phase in a project that explores building a world where all children belong. This first phase takes the school building as its site for exploration, and will be a kid-centred event not open to the general public.
This is an audio-driven collaboration with young trans/enby/gnc kids and their parents. Our team is made up of people who come from professional theatre practice, media design, fine art practice and public sculpture. They are leaders in LGBTQQIP2SAA communities across the country, and include a transgender artist and educator.
The sound designer will capture field recordings at a local elementary school, and conduct interviews with participants on location.
