Want to be part of an international performance commons?

Meet Ramona Ostrowski (Associate Producer) and Jamie Ghalon (Co-founder & Senior Creative Producer) of HowlRound TV while they are in Vancouver to introduce their platform and program content for the online theatre portal.

Jamie and Ramona will be in attendance at AGM-apalooza on the evening of November 14.

Join Rumble Theatre, Neworld Theatre, Electric Company Theatre, Boca del Lupo, Theatre Replacement and The Chop Theatre to hear about what each company has been up to and what is on the agenda for the coming season. There will be a speed round of company reports starting at 7:00pm, followed by breakout meetings for each company. Of course the whole event is complimented by refreshments and socializing.

HowlRound is a knowledge commons by and for the theatre community run from Emerson College in Boston. Howlround offers daily blogs in a variety of series, and it operates HowlRound TV where theatre makers livestream and archive events of particular interest to the larger theatre community. They livestream events on hot topics such as the recent #IdentityWeek Panels with Playbill and Samuel French, and Conflicts, Ethics and Aesthetics from Beirut, Lebanon. PTC has been doing it for a couple of years with a modest investment for gear and training time.

What’s great about Howlround TV:

  • It’s interactive, with features such as live titling.
  • They provide you with new skills in DIY livestreaming.
  • They provide FREE training, FREE tech support while livestreaming and FREE archiving of your event so it can be shared over time.
