PTC Announces Block A Participants 2019
We are pleased to announce that, once again, the number of playwrights submitting to Block A, PTC’s popular program for emerging writers, has been plentiful, so four sessions are being convened, two in the fall and two in winter.
The fall 2019 cohorts will work with playwright mentor Leanna Brodie for ten weeks starting October 15, 2019 or with playwright mentor Chris Gatchalian for ten weeks starting October 21, 2019.
The writers with Chris Gatchalian are Marco Cornejo, Madison Isolina, Jessica Anne Nelson, Jenny Lee Craig and Michelle Thorne. The writers working with Leanna Brodie are Jonathan D. Brower, Cooper Dael, Kagan Goh, Jill Hope Johnson, Jenna Masuhara and Helene Taylor.
Block A focuses on opportunities for emerging writers to develop the basic tools of plot, characterization and dialogue while exploring the elasticity of theatrical forms. They will work on their own projects while offering and receiving support from a talented cohort in a supportive environment.
The winter cohorts will begin ten weekly sessions with dramaturg mentors David Geary and PTC AED Heidi Taylor in mid-January 2020.
