Meet Spiling, a PhD student who sends postcards to her dead grandmother to distract herself from her never-ending studies—only to receive replies that change absolutely everything.

Postcards to My Younger Transexual Self (or YTS), Ages 0-119, invites you to be part of a transformational storytelling experience. In this tender, whimsical, non-linear work of autobiography and fantasy, it turns out higher education isn’t that much fun when you have to fight to be recognized for who you are. Easier to have a conversation with your dead grandmother, even if it means leaving your (very much alive) mother on read.

Playwright Christina Cook (Governor General’s Award nominee) takes us on a journey across time and space, showing that love—for family, for our past and future selves—can be sent care of (C/O) the present. A funny, heartfelt meditation on connection and trans joy, complete with live music and a homemade robot.
