Joy Gong

Joy Gong is an emerging playwright and theatre artist based in Vancouver. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Playwriting and received Phi Kappa Beta Honours. She is interested in creating work that questions the relationship between the individual and their place in the world. She was a member of the 2017 and 2021 cohort of LEAP at the Arts Club, as well as the 2021-22 cohort for vAct’s MSG Lab, where she began development on her play The Strange Dreams of Kane Who.
