This month, we welcome 12 artists to PTC as participants of this year’s Block A cohort.

Block A is for emerging playwrights and theatre creators, as well as established writers from other mediums who are excited to explore writing for the stage. Together, they will work in a supportive cohort led by an established theatre artist mentor. This Fall, we’re excited to support two Block A cohorts led by David Geary and Joanna Garfinkel.

Block A develops not only strong writing but also a deeper understanding of the collaborative spirit of theatre-making. We’re proud to nurture socially engaged and aware artists who are shaping the future of our theatre landscape.

This year’s participants are:
Anna Thorsen, Amélia Simard, Ashleigh Giffen, Carly Pokoradi, Claudine Paed, Dorothy Droste, Lindsey Schneider, Meg Hands, Nathalie De Los Santos, Rana Shemirani, Torien Cafferata, and Yasna Khademian (pictured above, left to right).
